150 Notice to terminate yearly tenancy (1) A notice to terminate a yearly tenancy is to be given on or before the first day of a period of 6 months that ends with the last day of a year of the tenancy to be effective on that day. (2) In this section, year of the tenancy means the yearly period on which the tenancy is based (which may not be a calendar year) and, unless otherwise expressly agreed, the year is to be taken to begin on the day, or the anniversary of the day, on which the tenant first became entitled to possession.
