#### 186 Judge may be appointed as an Assistant Integrity Commissioner Application of section (1) This section applies if a person appointed as an Assistant Integrity Commissioner is a Judge. Effect of ceasing to be Judge (2) The person ceases to hold office as an Assistant Integrity Commissioner if he or she is no longer a Judge. Judge’s privileges as holder of a judicial office unaffected (3) The appointment of the Judge as an Assistant Integrity Commissioner and the Judge’s service as an Assistant Integrity Commissioner does not affect: (a) his or her tenure of judicial office; or (b) the Judge’s rank, title, status, precedence, salary or annual allowances or other judicial privileges as the holder of that judicial office. (4) For all purposes, the Judge’s service as an Assistant Integrity Commissioner is taken to be service as the holder of his or her judicial office. Definition of Judge (5) In this section: > Judge means: (a) a Judge of the Federal Court of Australia; or (b) a Judge of the Supreme Court of a State or Territory.
