186 Consultation with Minister
> > (1) The Commission may consult with the Minister administering the [Police Act 1990](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1990-047) about a police misconduct matter or administrative employee misconduct matter at any stage and may for that purpose disclose to the Minister any information relating to or arising in connection with the misconduct matter, including—
> >
> > > (a) any matters arising from an investigation of the misconduct matter, and
> >
> > > (b) any report or proposed report relating to the misconduct matter, and
> >
> > > (c) any action taken or proposed to be taken in connection with the misconduct matter.
>
> > (2) The Commission may consult with the Minister administering the [Crime Commission Act 2012](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2012-066) about a Crime Commission misconduct matter at any stage and may for that purpose disclose to the Minister any information relating to or arising in connection with the misconduct matter, including—
> >
> > > (a) any matters arising from an investigation of the misconduct matter, and
> >
> > > (b) any report or proposed report relating to the misconduct matter, and
> >
> > > (c) any action taken or proposed to be taken in connection with the misconduct matter.

> > (3) The Commission may consult with the Minister about any other matter related to the exercise of the Commission’s functions under this Act.
>
> > (4) Before publishing a report of an investigation under this Act, the Commission—
> >
> > > (a) must inform the responsible Minister that the Commission proposes to publish such a report, and
> >
> > > (b) must, on request by that Minister, consult that Minister.
