23 Application for reconsideration of pre-acquisition of declaration (1) A person affected by a pre-acquisition declaration may apply to the Executive for a reconsideration of the declaration. (2) An application— (a) shall be in writing; and (b) shall set out the reasons for the application. (3) Subject to subsection (4), an application shall be made— (a) if section 19 (6) required that a copy of the declaration be given to the person—within 28 days after the day on which the copy was given to the person; or (b) in any other case—within 28 days after the first day on which the Executive has complied with the requirements of sections 19 (6) and 20 in relation to the declaration. (4) The Executive may, by writing and before the end of the period within which the person would otherwise be required to make an application, agree to an extension of that period.
