Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This regulation repeals (cancels) outdated 1913 rules that controlled when sailors and soldiers from foreign warships and military transport vessels could land in Australia.

What it does

Removes Statutory Rules 1913, No. 325 from the statute books entirely
Those original rules set out procedures and restrictions for foreign military personnel coming ashore from foreign naval vessels (men-of-war) and transports

Who it affects

Foreign military forces visiting Australian ports (who no longer need to comply with these specific 1913 restrictions)
Australian defence and immigration officials (who no longer enforce these particular rules)

Why it matters By 1956, these World War I-era regulations were obsolete. This repeal cleaned up Commonwealth law by removing 40-year-old port security requirements, simplifying the rules governing foreign military visits to Australia.
