Tasmania act
This Act retroactively validates certain planning-permit extensions and any actions taken in reliance on them. Where the planning Commission had already taken the relevant administrative steps under the Principal Act, a planning authority’s purported extension of a permit on or after 1 January 1998 is treated as valid. It affects permit-holders, planning authorities and third parties by removing legal uncertainty about those extensions and the acts that flowed from them.
