Tasmania act
This Act makes certain earlier planning permits legally valid: permits granted under the Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993 for uses or developments carried out in accordance with the Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995 or the Marine Farming Planning Act 1995 are taken to have been validly granted (s6). The Act commences on Royal Assent (s2). It therefore secures existing permit-holders' positions and removes the need for those specific retrospective challenges, while leaving future approvals to planning authorities.
