### 65M Obstruction, &c., of authorised officers and others

> > (1) A person must not –
> >
> > > > (a) assault, resist, impede or obstruct an authorised officer, or a person assisting an authorised officer under [section 65K](#GS65K@EN) , in the exercise of the officer's powers, or in the performance of the officer's functions, under this Act; or
> > >
> > > > (b) use threatening, abusive or insulting language to an authorised officer, or a person assisting an authorised officer under [section 65K](#GS65K@EN) , in the exercise of the officer's powers, or in the performance of the officer's functions, under this Act; or
> > >
> > > > (c) fail to comply with a requirement imposed on the person under [section 65J](#GS65J@EN) ; or
> > >
> > > > (d) provide false or misleading information when required to provide information under [section 65J](#GS65J@EN) ; or
> > >
> > > > (e) impersonate an authorised officer.

> > Penalty: Fine not exceeding 40 penalty units.

> > (2) If a person is convicted by a court of an offence against [subsection (1)(c)](#GS65M@Gs1@Hpc@EN) of failing to comply with a requirement, the court may order the person to comply with the requirement.
