### 35O Requirement for review of LPSs

> > (1) A planning authority must regularly conduct, for each of the purposes specified in [section 35N](#GS35N@EN) , a review of an LPS in relation to the municipal area of the planning authority.
>
> > (2) A planning authority must, after the end of each 5-year period after an LPS in relation to the municipal area of the planning authority has been in effect, conduct, for each of the purposes specified in [section 35N](#GS35N@EN) , a review of the LPS.
>
> > (3) [Subsection (2)](#GS35O@Gs2@EN) does not apply if a planning authority hasprepared a draft LPS under [section 35](#GS35@EN) that, if approved under [section 35L(1)](#GS35L@Gs1@EN) , would replace the LPS required to be reviewed.
>
> > (4) The Minister, by notice in writing to a planning authority in respect of a municipal area or to the Commission, may direct the authority or the Commission, respectively, to review, for one or more of the purposes, specified in [section 35N](#GS35N@EN) , that are specified in the notice, all or part of the LPS that applies to the area.
