### 35M Notice of approval of Local Provisions Schedules

> > (1) As soon as practicable after approving a Local Provisions Schedule under [section 35L(1)](#GS35L@Gs1@EN) , the Commission must –
> >
> > > > (a) notify the planning authority for the municipal area to which the Local Provisions Schedule relates; and
> > >
> > > > (b) cause a notice of the approval of the Local Provisions Schedule to be published in the *Gazette*.

> > (2) A planning authority that is notified under [subsection (1)(a)](#GS35M@Gs1@Hpa@EN) must give the prescribed notice of the approval of a Local Provisions Schedule to which the notice relates.
>
> > (3) A Local Provisions Schedule approved under [section 35L(1)](#GS35L@Gs1@EN) comes into effect –
> >
> > > > (a) on the date on which notice of its approval appears in the *Gazette*; or
> > >
> > > > (b) if a later date is specified in the notice as the date on which the Local Provisions Schedule is to come into effect – on that date.

> > (4) The failure to comply with a provision of this Part within the period referred to in the provision does not invalidate an approval under [section 35L(1)](#GS35L@Gs1@EN) of a Local Provisions Schedule.
