108 Compensation for lodging caveat without reasonable cause Any person lodging any caveat with the registrar-general without reasonable cause shall be liable to make to any person who has sustained damage thereby such compensation as is just, and the compensation shall be recoverable in an action at law by the person who has sustained damage from the person who lodged the caveat.
