101 Discharge of mortgages and encumbrances
(1) The registrar-general may, on lodgment of a discharge of mortgage
or encumbrance, register a discharge of the mortgage or encumbrance
to the extent specified in the discharge instrument.
(2) The discharge of mortgage or encumbrance may discharge the debt
or annuity secured in relation to—
(a) 1 or more parcels of land; or
(b) 1 or more of the mortgagors or encumbrancers, as the case
requires; or
(c) 1 or more of the mortgagees or encumbrancees, as the case
requires.
(3) On registration of the discharge of mortgage or encumbrance, the
mortgage or encumbrance, as the case requires, is discharged to the
extent specified in the discharge instrument.
