19 Registrar-General may require public notice to be given of certain proposed action (1) This section applies if a person asks the Registrar-General to do any of the following things: (a) register a transmission of a registered interest; (b) issue a substitute registered instrument; (c) dispense with production of an instrument. (2) The Registrar-General may, by written notice, require the person to give public notice of the request. (3) The Registrar-General may specify in the notice: (a) what is to be included in the public notice; (b) how many times the public notice is to be published; and (c) how and when the public notice is to be published. (4) The person must satisfy the Registrar-General that the public notice has been given as required by the Registrar-General.
