sec.54 Overpayment of rent or instalments
This section applies if a tenure holder overpays rent or instalments for the tenure. The overpayment must be refunded to, or credited to the account of, the tenure holder. Interest is payable on overpaid rent or instalments only if the overpayment happened because of— a change in valuation on objection or appeal under the Land Valuation Act 2010 ; or a change to the category of a tenure because of an appeal. (sec.54-ssec.1) This section applies if a tenure holder overpays rent or instalments for the tenure. (sec.54-ssec.2) The overpayment must be refunded to, or credited to the account of, the tenure holder. (sec.54-ssec.3) Interest is payable on overpaid rent or instalments only if the overpayment happened because of— a change in valuation on objection or appeal under the Land Valuation Act 2010 ; or a change to the category of a tenure because of an appeal.
