67 Power to agent to negotiate in certain cases (1) An agent of any person absent from Victoria who is authorized to sell the interest in land of that person, may negotiate with the Authority under this Act for the purchase or acquisition of that interest. (2) An agent referred to in subsection (1) may agree with the Authority— (a) for the purchase or acquisition of the interest in land by the Authority; and (b) as to the compensation payable in respect of the acquisition of the interest under this Act. (3) Any dispute arising as to the compensation payable may be determined in the same manner as other disputed claims are determined under this Act. (4) Upon payment of the purchase price or compensation agreed upon or determined pursuant to this section, the agent must convey the interest in land to the Authority and perform and execute all and every necessary act deed matter and thing required for those purposes.
