sec.57 Document in land access ombudsman’s custody
If a document is produced to the land access ombudsman for an investigation, the ombudsman may— keep it for a reasonable period to carry out the investigation; and take extracts from or make copies of it. While the land access ombudsman has custody of the document, the ombudsman must allow it to be inspected at any reasonable time by a person who would have the right to inspect it if it were not in the ombudsman’s possession. (sec.57-ssec.1) If a document is produced to the land access ombudsman for an investigation, the ombudsman may— keep it for a reasonable period to carry out the investigation; and take extracts from or make copies of it. (sec.57-ssec.2) While the land access ombudsman has custody of the document, the ombudsman must allow it to be inspected at any reasonable time by a person who would have the right to inspect it if it were not in the ombudsman’s possession.
