39Adjournment

39 Adjournment (1) The Court must adjourn the hearing of an application under section 37 or postpone the making of an order under section 38 if: (a) no order with respect to the kava is in force and a party to the proceedings requests the adjournment or postponement; or (b) in the opinion of the Court, it is in the interests of justice or there is some other sufficient reason for the adjournment or delay. (2) An adjournment or postponement under this section is to be for a period not exceeding 14 days.
