Tasmania act
This Act makes certain summonses and warrants that were purportedly issued under section 41 of the Justices Act 1959 valid retrospectively. It affects people who were served with those instruments, courts and enforcement agencies by validating past procedural defects retroactively (s.3), which eliminates grounds for challenge based on those defects and reduces litigation over historical issuance errors. The Act commences on the day it receives Royal Assent (s.2).
