These rules amend the Justices Rules 2003 by updating the authorised version of those rules. They take effect on the day their making is notified in the Gazette and therefore affect magistrates, court staff and legal practitioners who rely on the Justices Rules for procedure and forms.

These rules may be cited as the Justices Amendment Rules 2013 .
These rules take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.
In these rules, the Justices Rules 2003 are referred to as the Principal Rules.
The amendment effected by this rule has been incorporated into the authorised version of the Justices Rules 2003 .
These rules of court were made by the Magistrates Rule Committee at a meeting held on 23 August 2013.
