sec.39 First increase of jurisprudential allowance and education and conference allowance
The purpose of this section is to provide for working out the first increase under the new Act of a relevant allowance payable to a judicial officer for the purposes of sections 16(3) and 20(3). The rate of increase of salary is to be worked out by comparing the following— the salary payable under the new Act to the judicial officer at the time of the first increase; the salary payable to the judicial officer at the time the relevant allowance was last increased under the repealed Act. (sec.39-ssec.1) The purpose of this section is to provide for working out the first increase under the new Act of a relevant allowance payable to a judicial officer for the purposes of sections 16(3) and 20(3). (sec.39-ssec.2) The rate of increase of salary is to be worked out by comparing the following— the salary payable under the new Act to the judicial officer at the time of the first increase; the salary payable to the judicial officer at the time the relevant allowance was last increased under the repealed Act.
- (a) the salary payable under the new Act to the judicial officer at the time of the first increase;
- (b) the salary payable to the judicial officer at the time the relevant allowance was last increased under the repealed Act.
