Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This regulation cancels (repeals) outdated election rules dating back to 1930.

What it does:

Removes the Joint Electoral (Commonwealth and Victoria) Regulations made in 1930 (Statutory Rules 1930 No. 10).
These old rules governed how federal and state electoral rolls were coordinated between the Commonwealth and Victoria.

Who it affects:

The Australian Electoral Commission and Victorian electoral authorities (by removing obsolete procedures they no longer follow).
Voters in Victoria (indirectly, by ensuring only current, valid regulations apply to elections).

Why it matters: It cleans up the statute book by formally deleting defunct regulations from the 1930s that have been superseded by modern electoral laws.
