79 Cancellation or suspension of fire permits

(1) The Minister may cancel or suspend a fire permit at any time by written notice given to the person to whom the permit is issued. (2) However, if the Minister is of the opinion that: (a) the weather conditions are conducive to the outbreak or spread of bush fires; or (b) weather conditions conducive to the outbreak or spread of bush fires are imminent; the Minister may give the notice orally or in another manner the Minister considers appropriate, including, if no other means are practicable, by broadcasting the notice by a television or radio station transmitting to the Territory.
