90 Power to require production of a boat driving licence

(1) A police officer may require the holder of a boat driving licence who is doing anything for which the licence is required to produce the holder’s licence. (2) If the holder does not have the licence in his or her possession at the time the requirement is made, the holder must produce the licence to a police officer within 24 hours or within any longer period approved by a police officer. (3) A police officer may seize any boat driving licence that has ceased to have effect or that the officer has reason to believe is false. (4) A person commits an offence if: (a) the person is required to produce a boat driving licence under subsection (1); and (b) either: (i) if subsection (2) applies—the person fails to produce the licence in accordance with that subsection; or (ii) otherwise—the person fails to produce the licence.

Penalty: 50 penalty units.
