#### 7 Act to bind State and other jurisdictions 7 Act to bind State and other jurisdictions > > (1) This Act binds the State and, in so far as the legislative power of the Parliament of New South Wales permits, the other States, the Territories and the Commonwealth. > > > > Note— > > > > The [Interpretation Act 1987](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1987-015) defines the term person to include a body politic. > > > (2) Without limiting subsection (1), this Act has effect despite any privilege or immunity of the Crown in any of its capacities. > > > (3) This Act does not make any State or Territory, the Commonwealth, or the Crown in any of its capacities, liable to be prosecuted for an offence. > > > (4) A reference in this section to a State, Territory or the Commonwealth includes a reference to the Government of the State, Territory or Commonwealth. > > **s 7:** Am 2023 No 7, Sch 3.16.
