##### 4. By‑laws (1) The Governor may upon the recommendation of the Company make, alter and repeal by‑laws for the purposes of, and in accordance with, the Agreement. (2) By‑laws made pursuant to this section — (a) shall be published in the *Government Gazette*; and (b) take effect and have the force of law from the date they are so published or from such later date as is fixed by the by‑laws; and (c) may prescribe penalties not exceeding $100 for breach of any of the by‑laws; and (d) are not subject to the provisions of section 36 of the *Interpretation Act 1918* 2, but the by‑laws shall be laid before each House of Parliament within 6 sitting days of the House next following the publication of the by‑laws in the *Government Gazette*.
