Tasmania regulation
This notice declares Queensland's Community Based Sentences (Interstate Transfer) Act 2020 and South Australia's Community Based Sentences (Interstate Transfer) Act 2015 to be ‘corresponding laws’ for the purposes of the Interstate Transfer (Community-based Sentences) Act 2009 (s3). Mechanically, that enables community-based sentence transfers involving those states under the Commonwealth scheme and takes effect when notified in the Gazette (s2). Costs, procedures and decision‑making remain governed by the 2009 Act and the listed state laws.
