56 Construction of provisions relating to bankrupt or insolvent members of public bodies Where in an Act or subordinate instrument it is provided that a person who is or becomes bankrupt or is or becomes insolvent shall not be capable of holding or continuing to hold the office of member of a municipal council or other public statutory body, that incapacity shall extend to any person whose property is or becomes subject to control under the law relating to bankruptcy.
