51 Provisions as to offences under two or more laws (1) Where an act or omission constitutes an offence under two or more laws, the offender shall, unless the contrary intention expressly appears, be liable to be prosecuted under either or any or all of those laws but shall not be liable to be punished more than once for the same act or omission. (2) In subsection (1) ***law*** means— (a) an Act or a provision of an Act; (b) a subordinate instrument or a provision of a subordinate instrument; or (c) common law.
