#### 8 Gender and number 8 Gender and number > In any Act or instrument— > > > (a) a word or expression that indicates one or more particular genders shall be taken to indicate every other gender, > > > (b) a reference to a word or expression in the singular form includes a reference to the word or expression in the plural form, > > > (c) a reference to a word or expression in the plural form includes a reference to the word or expression in the singular form, > > > (d) a reference to a person does not exclude a reference to a corporation merely because elsewhere in the Act or instrument there is particular reference to a corporation (in whatever terms expressed), and > > > (e) a reference to a person does not exclude a reference to an individual merely because elsewhere in the Act or instrument there is particular reference to an individual (in whatever terms expressed).
