##### 10. Gender and number
In any written law —
(a) words that indicate or could be taken to indicate a person of a particular gender or sex (for example, he, she, chairman, workman) include —
(i) any individual, regardless of gender or sex; and
(ii) any person that is not an individual;

(c) words in the singular number include the plural and words in the plural number include the singular.
