48A Participation in meetings by telephone etc. (1) This section applies to a body (whether or not incorporated) established by an Act if the Act requires or permits meetings of the members of the body to be held. (2) The body may permit its members to participate in a meeting or all meetings by: (a) telephone; or (b) exchange of emails; or (c) online facilities; or Interpretation Act 1978 33 (d) any other means of communication. (3) A member who participates in a meeting under a permission under subsection (2) is taken to be present at the meeting.
