#### 18 Asking the transfer country to consent to the transfer (1) The Attorney‑General must ask the transfer country: (a) whether it consents to the transfer of a prisoner for whom an application has been given under section 16; and (b) to propose any terms on which any consent is to be subject. (2) When asking the transfer country, the Attorney‑General must give the transfer country the following: (a) a copy of the application given under section 16 for the prisoner; (b) any information required to be provided in accordance with arrangements made with the transfer country; and (c) any other information the Attorney‑General considers relevant, including details of: (i) any request for extradition of the prisoner that has been made under the Extradition Act 1988; and (ii) any expression of interest made to the Attorney‑General by another country to extradite the prisoner. > Note: The Attorney‑General may also ask the transfer country for information relevant to the transfer.
