Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This regulation removes (repeals) two older regulations from the books:

Statutory Rules 1981 No. 325
Statutory Rules 1982 No. 154

These older regulations had previously declared certain international organizations as eligible for special legal protections (privileges and immunities, such as tax exemptions or legal immunity) under the International Organizations (Privileges and Immunities) Act 1963. By repealing them, those specific organizations are no longer covered by those particular declarations.

Why it matters: This is a housekeeping measure to clean up the statute book. It removes outdated legal protections that are no longer needed, have been superseded, or apply to organizations that no longer require these special status arrangements in Australia.
