48 Requirement to provide assistance

S. 48(1) amended by No. 31/2024 s. 113(Sch. 1 item 1.85).

(1) The IBAC must—

(b) ensure that IBAC personnel give any assistance—

to Integrity Oversight Victoria which Integrity Oversight Victoria reasonably requires to enable Integrity Oversight Victoria to conduct any investigation in relation to the IBAC or IBAC personnel under this Part.

(2) The Auditor-General must—

(b) ensure that VAGO officers give any assistance—

to Integrity Oversight Victoria which Integrity Oversight Victoria reasonably requires to enable Integrity Oversight Victoria to conduct any investigation in relation to a VAGO officer under this Part.

(3) The Ombudsman must—

(b) ensure that Ombudsman officers give any assistance—

to Integrity Oversight Victoria which Integrity Oversight Victoria reasonably requires to enable Integrity Oversight Victoria to conduct any investigation in relation to an Ombudsman officer under this Part.

(3A) The Parliamentary Workplace Standards and Integrity Commission must—

(b) ensure that Parliamentary Workplace Standards and Integrity Commission officers give any assistance—

to Integrity Oversight Victoria which Integrity Oversight Victoria reasonably requires to enable Integrity Oversight Victoria to conduct any investigation in relation to the Parliamentary Workplace Standards and Integrity Commission or a Parliamentary Workplace Standards and Integrity Commission officer under this Part.

(4) The Chief Examiner and Examiners must give any assistance to Integrity Oversight Victoria which Integrity Oversight Victoria reasonably requires to enable Integrity Oversight Victoria to conduct any investigation under this Part.

(5) The Information Commissioner must—

(b) ensure that officers of the Office of the Victorian Information Commissioner give any assistance—

to Integrity Oversight Victoria which Integrity Oversight Victoria reasonably requires to enable Integrity Oversight Victoria to conduct any investigation in relation to an officer of the Office of the Victorian Information Commissioner under this Part.
