53 Delegation by commissioner (1) The commissioner may delegate the commissioner’s functions under this Act or another territory law to— (a) a member of staff of the commission; or

(2) However, the commissioner must not delegate the commissioner’s function under section 141 (Commissioner to preside) of presiding at a public examination. (3) Also, the commissioner must not delegate a function to a person who is not a member of staff of the commission without first being satisfied that the function needs to be exercised by a person who is not a member of staff of the commission.
