152 Examination—legal representation (1) A witness may be represented at an examination by a lawyer. Note The commission may make a legal advice direction directing a person not to seek legal advice or representation from a stated lawyer (see s 193). (2) If the commission makes a legal advice direction, the commission must allow the witness at least 3 days from the day the witness receives the legal advice direction to obtain legal advice or representation by another lawyer before the witness is required to attend to comply with the examination summons. (3) Subsection (2) does not apply if the examination summons is issued under section 150 (2). (4) If the commission considers there are special circumstances, the commission may authorise a person who is not a witness to be represented by a lawyer during the examination of a witness.
