### 86 Costs and expenses of inquiry, &c. > [*\[Section 86 Amended by No. 4 of 2017, Sched. 1, Applied:01 Jul 2019\]*](/view/html/inforce/2019-07-01/act-2017-004#JS1@Ja52@GC1@EN) The following are a charge on the Public Account and are payable out of the Public Account without further appropriation than this section: > > > > (a) the costs and expenses incurred in, or in connection with, the conduct of an inquiry under this Act; > > > > > (b) the amount of any legal costs approved to be paid under [section 83(1)](#GS83@Gs1@EN) that have been taxed under [section 83(3)](#GS83@Gs3@EN) ; > > > > > (c) the amount of any allowance that a person is entitled to receive or approved to be paid under [section 84](#GS84@EN) ; > > > > > (d) the amount of any compensation that a person is entitled to receive or is approved to be paid under [section 85](#GS85@EN) .
