19 Ministerial power to direct Commissioner to take leave (1) The Minister may, in writing, direct the Commissioner to take leave of absence to prevent serious operational, governance and work health and safety risks to IEC personnel if the Minister considers it is in the public interest to do so. (2) The Commissioner is entitled to be paid remuneration and allowances during the period of leave.
