sec.86 Application of laws relating to design and construction etc.

Laws relating to the design and construction, and standard of construction or materials, of buildings and other structures apply to floating buildings and special buildings, so far as the law may be sensibly applied, as if floating buildings or special buildings were constructed on land. If the relevant joint committee established for the purposes of the Standard Sewerage Law or the Standard Water Supply Law considers that a standard determined under the Law can not sensibly be applied to a floating building, the committee may determine a different standard that is to apply having regard to the existing standard. s 86 sub 1993 No. 46 s 23 (sec.86-ssec.1) Laws relating to the design and construction, and standard of construction or materials, of buildings and other structures apply to floating buildings and special buildings, so far as the law may be sensibly applied, as if floating buildings or special buildings were constructed on land.
