8 Role of an inquiry officer
(1) An inquiry officer must: (a) inquire into the matter for which he or she is appointed; and (b) report to the Inspector‑General ADF about the matter. (2) The Inspector‑General ADF may, in writing, authorise an inquiry officer to make recommendations resulting from the inquiry officer’s findings.
