Tasmania regulation
This order declares freshwater fish — eel, whitebait and any acclimatised fish — to be “declared fish” to which Division 3 of Part 3 of the Inland Fisheries Act 1995 applies (s4). It commenced on 31 May 1996 (s2).
Mechanically, it makes fishers and businesses dealing with those fish subject to the rules, duties and penalties in Division 3; definitions come from the Act (s3). The Department of Environment and Land Management administers and enforces the order.
