37 Commissioner must tell respondent about complaint
After receiving a privacy complaint, the information privacy
commissioner must give a copy of the complaint to the respondent.
Note 1 The information privacy commissioner must comply with this section as
soon as possible after receiving a privacy complaint (see Legislation Act,
s 151B).
Note 2 If the respondent is a contracted service provider under a government
contract, the information privacy commissioner must also give a copy of
the privacy complaint to the public sector agency to which the contract
relates (see s 48).
