This instrument prescribes the BusinessBalance Program under the Industry Research and Development Act 1986 and authorises government funding for two streams: ongoing delivery of NewAccess for Small Business Owners by Beyond Blue, and expansion of a free accredited professional development program delivered through Deakin University focusing on mental health and business skills. It targets Australian small business owners and aims to provide mental health and financial wellbeing support to help them manage pressures associated with running a business.
