#### 26A Effect of reconstruction of companies Where the Board is satisfied that a company that has, after 17 August 1982, applied for a commencement grant in respect of the grant year ending on 30 June 1982 or in respect of any subsequent grant year is carrying on operations in the nature of industrial research and development the whole or a substantial part of which was previously carried on by another company that became, or will become, entitled to a commencement grant, or to a grant of financial assistance under the previous Act, the Board may, for the purposes of the application, treat the applicant company and the other company as one company.
