#### 180 Contempt of Commission—offence 180 Contempt of Commission—offence > > (1) A person in contempt of the Commission is guilty of an offence. > > > > Maximum penalty—500 penalty units in the case of a corporation or, in any other case, 50 penalty units or imprisonment for 6 months, or both. > > > (2) For the purposes of subsection (1), conduct is a contempt only if the same conduct in relation to the Supreme Court would be a contempt of the Supreme Court. > > > (3) Proceedings for an offence against this section may only be taken before the Commission in Court Session. > > **s 180:** Am 2016 No 48, Sch 1 \[46\]; 2023 No 41, Sch 1.2\[40\].
