#### 22A Object of controlled use permit system The object of the controlled use permit system is: (a) to provide an alternative to the assessment certificate system in respect of a new industrial chemical that is a low risk to occupational health and safety, public health and the environment because its use, handling and disposal are highly controlled; and (b) to ensure that this alternative is subject to adequate safeguards.
