17 Bodies from which the Executive Director may seek advice

For the purposes of subsections 34(2), 46(2), 56(1) and 71(2), paragraph 75(a) and subsections 91(2), 107(1) and 111(5) of the Act, the following bodies are prescribed: (a) the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission; (b) the Environment Department; (c) Food Standards Australia New Zealand; (d) the Gene Technology Regulator; (e) the Health Department; (f) the Home Affairs Department; (g) the National Health and Medical Research Council; (h) the National Transport Commission; (i) Safe Work Australia; (j) each body in a State or Territory that has responsibility for matters relating to protection of the environment; (k) each body in a State or Territory that has responsibility for matters relating to public health; (l) each body in a State or Territory that has responsibility for matters relating to work health and safety.
