### 19 Consents to removal of blood from children
> [*\[Section 19 Amended by No. 11 of 2024, s. 10, Applied:05 Sep 2024\]*](/view/html/inforce/2024-09-05/act-2024-011#GS10@EN) Subject to the requirements of [Division 7](#HPII@HD7@EN) of [Part II](#HPII@EN) , a parent of a child may consent to the removal of blood from the body of the child for a purpose referred to in [section 18](#GS18@EN) if –
>
> > > (a) a medical practitioner advises that the removal is not likely to be prejudicial to the health of the child; and
> >
> > > (b) the child agrees to the removal.
