98 Victimisation etc
(1) A person (the first person) commits an offence if the first person
causes or threatens to cause a detriment to someone else (the other
person) because—
(a) the other person has—
(i) made or amended a complaint under this Act; or
(ii) given information or produced a document or other thing
to a person exercising a function under this Act or a rights
Act; or
(iii) given information, produced a document or other thing or
answered a question as required under this Act; or
(b) the first person believes that the other person intends to do
something mentioned in paragraph (a).
(2) A person commits an offence if the person threatens or intimidates
someone else with the intention of causing the other person—
(a) not to make a complaint under this Act; or
(b) to amend, or not to amend, a complaint made under this Act; or
(c) to withdraw a complaint made under this Act.
