76 Commission may keep document or other thing etc (1) If a document or something else is produced in accordance with a requirement under section 73 (Power to ask for information, documents and other things), the commission— (a) may take possession of, make copies of, or take extracts from, the document or may take possession of the other thing; and (b) may keep the document or other thing for the period that is necessary for the consideration to which the document or thing relates; and (c) during that period, must allow anyone who would be entitled to inspect the document or other thing, if it were not in the possession of the commission, to inspect it and, for a document, make copies of, or take extracts from, it. (2) The commission must return a document or something else produced in accordance with a requirement under section 73 if the commission is no longer entitled to keep the document or thing under this section.
